Motu Ahi is a family-led vision, born from a deep love for Te Moana Nui O Kiwa (our ocean), Te Papa (the land), and the ancestral connections that bind the Pacific together.
We are guided by the intention to create a meaningful bridge between Māori and Tahitian cultures, a space where stories, traditions, and ways of being can meet, be honoured, and continue to evolve. In this, we see ourselves as part of a wider movement toward unifying the peoples of the Pacific. A shared identity rooted in whakapapa, voyaging, and connection.
A home for those travelling through Tahiti who seek something deeper than a place to stay. Here, the pace softens. The noise of commercialisation and capitalism fades into the background. What remains is simple, intentional living the ocean, and space to just be.
We offer everything you need, and nothing you don’t.
This is a place to rest, reconnect, and remember what truly matters..

“At it’s heart, Motu Ahi is home”
Lineage Linked Between Land and Sea
Across the islands of Pacifica, our ancestors voyaged by stars and sea currents, carrying stories, values, and ways of living in harmony with nature, in unity with one another. Separated by ocean, yet forever connected beneath the everchanging waters of Te Moana Nui no Kiwa (our ocean), bound together through the living body of our Earth (Te Papa).
Te Papa remains solid, she is constant, the never changing foundation beneath our feet and beneath our waters. For it was from Awaiki ki raro that our ocean voyaging people were formed, and it was Te Wai, the waters of Te Moana Nui no Kiwa, that received them, carried them, and brought them forth into the world.
